Medical Student/Resident Mentorship & Loans [Committee #7]

Goal:

  • Medical Student and Resident Mentorship
  • Increase AMMA Physician Buy-in 3. Increase Committee Members

How

  • Identification of a group of AMMA members who have the capacity to advise and support medical students and residents
  • Develop and implement an action plan to help any medical students and residents who contact AMMA for residency and observerships requests (Both foreign and US Graduates)
  • Identification of previous AMMA members who have mentored in the past and motivating them to join the committee.


Metrics:

Revised medical student/resident mentorship program/strategy to be implemented by Feb 1st 2023

Results:

✓Currently assisting 12 students with the help of AMMA Mentors.

✓8 out of the 12 students have received interviews.

✓Organized multiple Mock Interview Sessions alongside Committee 6 to assist students through their interview season as well as their residency application process.
